Hello everyone, and welcome to my first blog on Turkey and Taxes. This is a blog site I started at the request of clients and friends who read the annual Turkey and Taxes tax planning letter I send out each Thanksgiving. I know it has an unusual name, but there is an explanation for that (see below), and I think the name is a little catchy, so we kept it. If you follow this blog over time you’ll notice that I try to address all types of tax planning ideas and discussions. We will discuss federal taxes, state taxes, international taxes, year-end planning, tax controversy and IRS and state issues – and most importantly, some tax jokes. Everything you read here will be presented in an easy-to-read style and not get too technical. Thank you for visiting and I hope you come back again!
Remember, things you will read here may be very specific and may not apply to you. Please always consult a tax advisor before doing anything you read here to make sure the laws are properly applied to your specific tax situation.
